Step 1: log into Proda and choose a provider

Step 2: Click on “Items”

Step 3: Click on “MBS items online checker”

Step 4: Enter Patient’s Medicare number, IRN, first name, DOB. Tick the declaration box. Make sure you use the provider number of the clinic you’re at (location)

Scroll down and select the second tab which is where you’ll find the codes for Physio (10960), Ex Phys (10953) and Podiatry (10962). Select the box of the code you want to check, then select “search”.

The results should look like this and tell you if the item is claimable or not. If the result says “no” they are not eligible for a Medicare rebate and may have used their Care Plan elsewhere.
